Kostas Makris conducted his PhD research at TUDelft between 2018 and 2022. His research took place in the context of the Urban Drainage Knowledge Programme, in which sewer replacement is the core theme. Kostas conducted research into inspection techniques and material aging of plastic pipes. Kostas' research enables urban water managers to better determine the condition of plastic sewer pipes. He received his doctorate for this research on 8 December 2022. Kostas has been part of the Partners4UrbanWater team since April 1, 2022. Research and asset management are keywords in his expertise. Greek is Kostas' native language. In addition, he is fluent in English in speaking and writing, a goal he has also set for Dutch.
